Counterfeit Kit Challenge - January 2012

Reading through my blogs recently, I came across a post mentioning the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog (sorry, I can't remember who's blog I read about it on, but if you've blogged about it recently - THANK YOU!!).

On the 5th of each month, the team challenge you to take inspiration for specific kits from one of the many suppliers out there, and compile your own kit made up from stash you already have. Well, anyone who knows me will know I have TONS of stash from when I owned Craft Magic UK - and now I think I've finally found a way to use some of it up!

Throughout the month, the team will also be challenging us to actually USE the stuff in our kits - shock, horror!! You mean I can't just sit and stroke it all???

Now, a lot of my stash is quite old, so the kits won't be as up to date as some .... so here goes with 'January 2012's Counterfeit Kit' Kit based around the Amber Snowflake Kit from Cocoa Daisy

1) Paper Loft - SC312
2) Paper Loft - SC336
3) Paper Loft - GO127
4) Paper Loft - SC306
5) Paper Loft - SC302
6) Paper Loft - SC305
7) Pixie Press - Romance Letter Collage
8) Jenni Bowlin - Live Laugh
9) Paper Loft - Geometric Bubble Caps Alphabet Stickers
10) Pixie Press - Canvas Emotion Stickers - Joy Emotions
11) Sarabinders Small Envelopes
12) Creative Impressions Twill - 'Live, Love, Laugh' & 'Create, Believe, Imagine'
13) Assorted Blooms from the Duck Pond Crafts 'For The Boys' Kit
14) Buttons from 'For The Boys'
15) Ribbon from 'For The Boys'
16) Making Memories Shaped Clips
17) Debbi Moore Stamp - magic moments ...
18) Large Flowers from 'For The Boys'

I can't wait now to see what we are challenged to do with our kit!

Wow - you're quick! A great counterfeit too - the older the better when it comes to using up stash. Don't forget that you can still stroke the stash once it's on a page!

I love how nuetral the kit is! Refreshing after bright Christmas colors! And you numbered it, you clever girl! Why didn't I think about doing that? LOL

Great choice - I'm really inspired by this month's kit, too, and I think I'll put one together for some projects.

wow! you're quick off the mark! It takes me days to get mine together and I have advance notice ;-) Well done you for getting inspired right at the get go! your kit is great and i love the fact that you have included some oldies (but lovelies) in there - just imagine how good you are going to feel when you get them used up. Fabulous!

Great job on you kit...and I love the older product, that's what shoping your own stash is all about, getting out the old stuff, seeing it new again, and using it!

Haha, "sit and stroke", you make me laugh! This will be my first time playing along, so hopefully I can come up with something, but I really love what you've put together - great kit, have fun working with it now!

Great kit! Doesn't it feel good to use up some of that stash.
I have been scrapping for about 12 years...some of my stash is really old and some is newish.
I don't do a very good job on my own at blending the older stuff. That is why I love the counterfit kit challenge.
It forces me to get that older stuff off the shelf and onto the layouts!!!

I would love to know how to number the elements of the kit. I really liked that.

I'm so glad you found us over at the Counterfeit Kit Club blog. It looks like you've pulled together a great kit - especially liking that hint of lavender.
